Shopping with Nana

Karlie got to enjoy one of my favorite pasttimes, shopping with Nana. I'm sure there will be many more of these trips in the future.

Karlie Rae is in her big girl bed!

At Karlie's 2 month check up Dr. Straughn told us to go ahead and put Karlie in her bed room in her crib. We were a little nervous at first, but we have a movement monitor and a video monitor and we knew she would be safe! She cried a little at first, but after I went in and calmed her down she was fine and went right to sleep! Yeah Karlie! Enjoy your own bedroom and big girl bed. She looks so tiny in the bed.

Boot Day at Mrs. Mona's

Sometimes at Mrs. Mona's house they have special days where they dress up. Well today was boot day. We were so excited because Karlie's Neece had bought her a pair of Zebra print boots before she was born and a cute little outfit to match. She looked so cute in her boots and rosette pants. What do you think?

Two Month Check-Up

Today was Karlie's two month check up and her first round of shots. NOT FUN! Karlie weighs 10 pounds 8 ounces (45th percentile) and she is 20 1/2 inches long (4th percentile). She did a good job with the shots. The nurse was really fast!

My First Day at Mrs. Mona's

Karlie started day care today about Mrs. Mona's. I cried when it was time to leave, but as you can see Karlie was not phased! It made me feel a lot better that Mona was crying too. She is so good with the kids and I know Karlie is in great hands. Here's a picture of Karlie in her rocker seat when we left.

Each kid at Mrs. Mona's has a mat that they stand/sit on when they start their morning routine and throughout the day. We are very lucky we have Mona and Karlie is a very lucky little girl to have such a great person in her life!

Daddy Reading to me...

Karlie loves her Daddy very much especially when he reads to her. One night I was sneaking in and decided to take a picture of them. I wish I could have gotten a better picture without interrupting them.

Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On

Karlie's blue jeans finally fit her! We dressed her up to go to her cousin Morgan's 8th birthday party. We forgot to take pictures at the party but here are the ones I took before the party.

First Smile

Karlie smiled her first real smile today! We are so excited that we keep making funny sounds and acting silly just to see her smile. I'm sure she thinks we're crazy and wondering what the heck we are doing! Here are some pictures from the day.

Dinner with Friends

Tonight we went to Outback Steakhouse with our friends Chris, Megan and Rowyn Sommer and Eric, Jessica, and Rileigh McBain. Jessica made the comment that we had a baby from each age range. Karlie's a newborn, Rowyn is 6 months and Rileigh turned one on New Year's Eve.

Rowyn is wearing one of Karlie's bows. It is her biggest bow and doesn't quite fit her yet. I think it looks cute on Rowyn's head. She seems to like it!
